Really travel over the sea to Skye on the little known Glenelg Ferry. At one time this was the ferry used to cross Loch Leven before the Ballachulish bridge was built. Open Easter to mid-October. No need to book.

A little over an hour drive up to Arisaig you can catch a ferry to Eigg, Muck or Rum. You may be lucky enough to spot seals, puffins, eagles, whales and dolphins.
