And now for something completely different! Oban’s Spotlight Musical Theatre Group are delving into the world of Monty Python with their production of Spamalot.
Join King Arthur (Roddy MacEachan) and his misfit band of assorted Knights of the Round Table (Richard Baker as Sir Galahad, Ian Henry as Sir Lancelot, John Robinson as Sir Robin and Gordon Stewart as Sir Bedevere) on a bizarre quest to find the illusive Holy Grail. They are guided on their journey by the beautiful Lady of the Lake (Aimie MacDonald) and they meet some very peculiar characters along the way (which offers great opportunities for the rest of our talented cast to have fun playing multiple parts each!).
The team that brought you the sell-out production of Anything Goes returns to indulge you with an evening of hilarity, brilliant songs and toe-tapping dances. Based on the classic film comedy Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Spamalot’s book was written by Eric Idle and the music by John Du Prez & Eric Idle.
Check our facebook page for ticket offers.

Kaela’s latest album, The Fruited Thorn, was released in August 2016 to superb reviews. “Subtle, evocative – a total killer of a record Pure beauty *****” – fRoots
As a solo artist Kaela released her acclaimed debut album Menagerie in 2014 and graced stages both home and abroad with her own band Highlights include Woodford Folk Festival in Australia, where she led 80,000 people in Auld Lang Syne at midnight on Hogmanay 2014, and a main stage appearance at RIFF Festival in India in October 2013. “Every one of my trips to Rajasthan, [Kaela has performed at Jodhpur Riff Festival four times] has been amazing, from our first performance in 2012, a dawn concert on a dais overlooking the city of Jodphur, from darkness to sunrise, with the city slowly waking below, to Shooglenifty’s collaborative main stage concerts with the local manganiyar (They are famous for their classical folk music. They are the groups of hereditary professional musicians, whose music has been supported by wealthy landlords and aristocrats for generations).
